As we made our way up the trail, we were surrounded by dramatic rock formations and wide-open views. The terrain felt different from our usual hikes, adding a sense of adventure to the experience.

Bird Activity Along the Trail

We spotted a few birds as we climbed, including a small group of Bushtits moving through the shrubs and a California Scrub-Jay perched nearby. Their presence added a familiar rhythm to the hike.

A Hairy Woodpecker made a brief appearance, tapping along a tree before moving out of sight. Not long after, we also saw a Steller’s Jay, its bold colors standing out against the rocky landscape.
